Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Rich Content Blogs Agent (“the App”) is a Shopify app operated by Commerce Sync LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App accesses, why, and how it is handled when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store.
Information the App accesses
- Store information: store name, description, primary domain, currency and time zone.
- Product catalog: product titles, handles, descriptions, types, tags, prices and featured images; collection titles and handles. Used only to write relevant articles and link to your real products.
- Blog content: your blogs and the titles and handles of published articles, used to avoid duplicate topics and to add internal links; and the articles the App creates for you.
- Merchant settings: the brand, author and publishing preferences you enter in the App.
- Account data provided by Shopify: the shop domain and the access token Shopify issues to the App, and basic details of the staff member using the App as supplied by Shopify for authentication.
The App does not access or store customer or order data. It requests only the read_products and write_content permissions.
How we use it
- To generate, schedule and publish blog articles to your store at your request.
- To enforce your plan’s monthly article limit and determine your active plan (billing is handled by Shopify).
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the App.
We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Anthropic — the AI model provider that writes articles. Store and product information relevant to an article is sent to its API to generate the text. No customer personal data is sent.
- Railway — application hosting and database.
- Shopify — authentication, billing and the store where articles are published.
Retention and deletion
Settings and generated drafts are kept while the App is installed. When you uninstall, autopilot stops immediately, and all data stored for your shop is permanently deleted when Shopify sends the shop/redact request (48 hours after uninstall). Articles already published to your store remain on your store, where you control them.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-restricted database. Shopify access tokens are never shared with third parties.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@commercesync.io. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA) you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
